1. What We Collect

GenVibe Test is designed to collect as little as possible. Here's exactly what we do and don't collect.

What we save (anonymous result data)

  • Birth year (not full birthday)
  • Age at time of test (calculated, not stored if you don't provide month/day)
  • Official Generation, Micro-generation, GenVibe Type
  • Result description and card content
  • Created timestamp and expiry timestamp
  • A random anonymous result ID (e.g., abc1234567)

What we never save

  • Your name or email
  • Your full birthday (month and day are used only for on-screen age calculation)
  • Individual quiz answers
  • IP address or device identifiers
  • Any account or login information

2. Result Data Retention

Is my data saved?

Your anonymous quiz result is saved so you can share and revisit its result link. Current results are retained for 365 days; results created before July 2026 keep their original 90-day retention period. We do not save your name, email, full birthday, or individual quiz answers, and the result data is deleted when its link expires.

3. Analytics (Optional)

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and PostHog to understand how people use GenVibe Test. This helps us improve the experience.

Analytics are not loadeduntil you explicitly accept analytics via the cookie consent banner. If you reject analytics, the site works exactly the same — we just don't track your behavior.

You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site.

4. Cookies

We use a single local storage key (genvibe_cookie_consent) to remember your analytics preference. This is not a tracking cookie — it simply records whether you accepted or rejected analytics.

5. Third-Party Services

If you consent to analytics, the following services may receive usage data:

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) — governed by Google's Privacy Policy
  • PostHog — governed by PostHog's Privacy Policy

6. Entertainment Purposes

GenVibe Test is for entertainment and educational purposes only. Generation classifications are based on commonly cited ranges and are not scientifically definitive. Results should not be used for any medical, psychological, or professional assessment.
