Transparent first-party search and product data, published with downloadable summaries and limitations.
How the quiz is different
Most tools return a range and stop. GenVibe first identifies your official generation, then measures the internet era that shaped you, whether your style is nostalgic or forward-looking, and whether your habits feel more Millennial- or Gen Z-coded.
The result is one of 16 GenVibe Types with a shareable card. It is entertainment, not a psychological, medical, employment, or scientific assessment.
Who writes GenVibe
GenVibe is created and edited by Jeff Shancha. Jeff builds and maintains GenVibe. He researches how demographers, market researchers, and journalists define generational cohorts, and writes about internet culture and how formative online eras shape identity.
We favor primary sources, distinguish official demographic ranges from informal micro-generation labels, show disagreements at boundaries, and change page dates only after meaningful edits.
Privacy by design
We do not ask for a name, email, account, or login. Full birthday details are used only for on-screen age calculation. Analytics load only after consent. Read the Privacy Policy for retention details.
